The mission of the Legacy Institute for Nature & Culture (LINC) is to raise awareness for natural environments and cultural legacies, educate people about important connections between human societies and natural ecosystems, and promote conservation of natural heritage. LINC’s approach is to use visual, written, or oral communications to connect the public to environmental and cultural issues as well as to groups seeking sustainable solutions to those issues. This 2011 calendar is an example of conservation photography in action. Each of the 12 months showcases a landscape in great need of protection, many of which will not survive without the help of the Florida Forever program. |
